Tyson completed both his Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with Distinction (2009) and his Master of Physical Therapy (2011) at the University of Saskatchewan. He further obtained a professional designation from the NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Currently, Tyson has completed his Advanced Certification in Manual and Manipulative Therapy, designating him as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT).
Through Tyson’s clinical experience he has had the pleasure of working with a wide spectrum of sports and injuries, including competitive and recreational sports, job place injuries, and motor vehicle accident claims. He has also worked as a strength and conditioning consultant for people of all areas of life, from high level athletes to the casual everyday walker.
In the summer of 2015, Tyson had the pleasure of travelling with the CanoeKayak Canada U23 National Team to the Sprint World Championships in Portugal as the team Physiotherapist. Also, while attending university, Tyson spent many hours working with the University of Saskatchewan Athletics programs as a student trainer, including Wrestling, Football and Men’s Volleyball.
Tyson grew up in small town Northern Saskatchewan, where he developed a passion for the outdoors and wilderness. He has always been involved in sport, including playing and coaching volleyball at a high level, as well as baseball and basketball.
Tyson currently lives in Saskatoon with his wife and daughter, and strives to help foster a love for movement with every person he meets through his career. He understands that no two people or two injuries are the same, as such no two rehabilitation and exercise programs should be either.
