Originally from Saskatoon, Lindsay joins the Donald Physiotherapy family with an impressive knowledge base!
Lindsay Tysdal is a graduate from the University of Saskatchewan where she completed both her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2008) and her Masters of Physical Therapy (2010). Further post-graduate studies have included obtaining her Canadian Acupuncturist (CAFCI), Gokavi Transverse Technique dry needling (CGTTP), Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and functional movement screen (FMS) certifications. She is a Canadian trained therapist having completed her Level 1, 2 and 3 Pelvic Health certifications through Pelvic Health Solutions. In addition she has completed numerous exercise prescription, pelvic health, functional testing, manual therapy, myofascial release and cupping courses.
Lindsay’s clinical practice has evolved to include an emerging field of concentration; young adult hip pathologies. Over the past several years, Lindsay has had the opportunity to work closely with Saskatoon’s only Postdoctoral fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in young adult hip pathologies such as femoral acetabular impingement and hip dysplasia. Together the two have developed screening protocols, conservative management protocols and post operative protocols. They work together to service the needs of young adult patients throughout Saskatchewan.
Clinically, Lindsay’s interests have also come to include pelvic health issues. She is passionate about helping women bridge the gap between rehab and fitness. Her work in this area involves prenatal and postpartum care. She is certified to provide pelvic floor rehabilitation for issues such as incontinence, urgency, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain/dysfunction.
Lindsay strives to provide care which combines a strong knowledge of manual therapy skills, acupuncture and/or dry needling treatment (if appropriate), exercise prescription, and client education.
She aims to inspire and support her clients to lead healthy lifestyles. She aspires to help them become engaged, accountable health care consumers.
Lindsay tries her best to be an exemplary healthcare professional through many different recreational fitness pursuits (strength training, swimming, biking, running, paddle boarding, hiking) and is passionate about encouraging and empowering her clients with the knowledge and skills to promote, rehabilitate and maintain their own health.
Lindsay’s goal is to help you achieve yours.
When Lindsay isn’t helping you achieve your goals, she is happy to focus on her first passions: being wife to Jeff, and mom to their twin baby girls.
