Shayla graduated with her Master of Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan.
Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta.
During her undergraduate degree, Shayla was involved in working and volunteering with people of all ages and abilities to foster physical activity and independence in the community.
Shayla’s areas of interest include:
- Musculoskeletal pain
- Sport injuries
- Management of Arthritis
- Exercise prescription
Shayla grew up in Kindersley, SK where her time was filled with many sports, her favourites being basketball and volleyball, and lots of volunteering and leadership. Her passion for staying active and helping others is perfectly combined in the profession of physical therapy.
In her free time, Shayla enjoys playing games, being active, spending time with her fiancé, meal prepping, and finding the best healthy(er) desserts.
