Amber graduated with her Masters of Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan in 2013, after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2011. In April 2018, she became a credentialed McKenzie therapist.
Amber volunteered as a student trainer with the University of Saskatchewan Huskie Athletics women’s soccer team, and during her undergraduate program, she had the opportunity to work with clients at the Cardiac Rehab program at the Saskatoon Fieldhouse.
Amber’s post-graduate training includes: Part A, B, C & D of the McKenzie Method (comprehensive approach to treating spinal and extremity conditions), acute and post concussion management, and K-taping Pro. She is also pursuing continuing education in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy Level System.
Her areas of interest include neck & back pain, sports, concussion management, and preventative health. Amber believes that a successful treatment plan tailored around client’s goals is all about teamwork. It is a combination of individualized biomechanical treatment, education, and client commitment to their home exercise program.
Amber enjoys playing a variety of sports including soccer, flag football, badminton and golf. In the Winter you will find her at Table Mountain snowboarding. In her spare time, Amber enjoys spending time with family, gardening, doing jigsaw puzzles and travelling.
